Position Summary
Achieve Solutions, Inc. (ASI) is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to provide medically prescribed physical therapy under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist. This role requires adherence to ASI’s policies, state, and federal regulations, ensuring high-quality patient care and compliance with all standards.
Qualifications
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
- Physical Therapy Assistant license from the Wisconsin Physical Therapy Examining Board, required prior to hire or job transfer.
Education:
- Associate’s degree/Technical degree
Position Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide physical therapy interventions in accordance with the treatment plan established by a physical therapist.
- Apply appropriate techniques and modalities for patient care, ensuring high standards of treatment.
- Document treatment interventions and patient responses accurately and promptly.
- Assist in coordinating activities of support staff, including physical therapy aides and students.
- Comply with payer reimbursement guidelines for all services provided.
- Attend scheduled meetings, in-service training, and other professional development activities.
- Travel to various facilities as needed for clinical care coverage.
- Adhere to company dress code and infection control standards.
- Perform additional duties as assigned, within the scope of your role and experience.
Essential Job Functions
- Demonstrate competency in treating patients with a variety of impairments, including medical, functional, psychosocial, and orthopedic conditions, to help them achieve their highest level of function.
- Collaborate closely with supervising physical therapists to discuss patient progress, treatment responses, and modifications to care plans, ensuring compliance with departmental and professional standards.
- Foster patient-centered care through education and collaboration with patients and caregivers, promoting active participation in the treatment process.
- Implement prescribed interventions and monitor patient responses, adjusting as necessary.
- Complete documentation in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring compliance with professional, regulatory, and billing standards to facilitate proper reimbursement.
