Full time faculty positions begin in January 2023 with a 30 credit hour (170 day contract per Board Policy 4.12) teaching load annually. Colorado Mountain College is seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic and student-centered full-time faculty member to join the Rifle campus. With teaching and learning at the center of what we do, the chosen candidate will join a team dedicated to excellence in education, and will serve as a leader in the training of our next generation of highly skilled, caring and compassionate health care professionals. Colorado Mountain College is investing in our commitment to front line health care workers, and the person hired for this position will instruct and inspire students and create partnerships and employment pipelines with local hospitals, long-term care facilities, clinics, home health care providers, and other entities. Administrative aspects for this discipline may include maintenance and identification of supply needs, assist in the collection of student records for clinical experiences, and identify local opportunities for clinical partnerships in conjunction with the college-wide program coordinator. This position will include travel and on-site instruction at clinical partnerships. Instruction may also include night, weekend and possibly online teaching. Teaching responsibilities expected of all faculty include: teaching course load as assigned, evaluate courses and assess student learning, meet established course, program and learning outcomes, comply with guidelines and policies, maintain office hours per established standards, develop rapport with students, assist with and participate in advising, orientation and registration activities. CMC Faculty are expected to engage in service activities such as campus and college committees, participation in relevant projects, mentor peers, participate in and assist with assessment activities, program review, student organization, recruiting and retention. Salary range: $71,039.61 - $86,526.18 depending upon education and experience. Requirements: Qualified candidates must be credentialed to teach in this program, or eligible to be credentialed. Examples of ideal qualifications include: Registered Nurse with a current unencumbered professional license in the State of Colorado. One year clinical nursing experience in caring for the elderly and/or the chronically ill of any age in the provision of services in a long-term care facility required. Must have documented experience in teaching adults or have one year experience in managing nurse aides. Must be able to instruct, mentor and supervise students in clinical settings. Duties also include those listed by the Department of Regulatory Agencies, Board of Nursing Rules and Regulations, Division of Professions and Occupations; Rules and Regulations for Approval of Nurse Aide Training Programs, Chapter 11, page 2, Section 4 C., see attachment) as advised and monitored by the college-wide program coordinator and school dean.
