Description of Position
The CNO will use his/her comprehensive clinical and executive management experience to oversee Nursing care and other ancillary departments, and to collaborate with providers and other staff to support the mission of the Hospital. Position is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care, managing, supervising, and evaluating staff, maintaining accurate records, developing and implementing policies and procedures that ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, quality improvement, patient safety, and Hospital standards, and collaborating with the medical staff and other departments to ensure effective communication and coordination of patient care. Position will also serve on the Senior Administrative Leadership team, which involves strategic planning for all areas of the Hospital.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred
- Illinois RN license and minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in acute care and emergency services
- 2 years RN leadership experience
- Strong communication, leadership/supervisory, planning, organizational, computer, and problem-solving skills
- Strong understanding of healthcare regulations and accreditation standards
- Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with other departments
- Dedication and commitment to continuous improvement in all areas of the Hospital
