Clinical Director - Physical Therapist (Full-Time)

We are seeking a committed Clinical Director for complete oversight of operations and administration of rehabilitative outpatient clinic providing Physical and Occupational Therapy. Ensures compliance with all regulations and health care requirements. This position is also responsible for patient evaluation and treatment.
Responsibilities
Management/ Supervisory
- Oversight of clinical and administrative schedule; PTO approval and coverage
- Ensure staff deliver up to standard care
- Responsible for meeting census goals of clinic and each clinician (number of patients seen)
- Working with Human Resources, ensures compliance with all federal and state employment laws.
- Review and approve time-cards through ADP ensuring adherence to all federal and state regulations with respect to Exempt and Non-Exempt staff
- Interview/hiring (clinical, admin, aide) in collaboration with HR
- Training and onboarding staff, ongoing evaluation of performance
- Regular meeting with staff to improve/maintain quality of care
- Ensure staff satisfaction with work (being challenged, morale)
- Resolve performance problems on a clinic level and elevating to HR when appropriate
Clinic & Facility Operations
- Liaison between clinical and admin staff
- Resolve patient complaints
- Marketing/outreach to MD in collaboration with Marketing
- Collaboration with other clinics
- Regular call/meeting with Regional Clinical Director
- Equipment upkeep/maintenance
- Ordering (replacement or new)
- Maintain order, cleanliness. Improve flow and efficiency
- Provides accurate and timely documentation
- Monitor staff compliance
- Monitor monthly budget
- Weekly report preparation
- Documentation audits
- Medicare compliance (PQRS, FLR, cap, KX)
- Staff timely documentation
Initial patient evaluation
- Reviews Physician's referral (prescription) and patient's condition and medical records to help determine physical therapy treatment required.
- Consulting with patients to learn about their physical condition and symptoms and developing a treatment plan
- Tests and measures patient's strength, ROM, quality of movement, motor development, sensory perception, functional capacity, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency, and records findings to develop or revise treatment programs.
- Communicate a plan using treatment and educational techniques to promote efficiency in movement, reduce pain, restore function, and prevent disability.
- Plans and prepares written treatment program based on evaluation of patient data.
Provide ongoing patient treatment
- Teaching patients how to properly use exercise techniques
- Providing stimulation or massage
- Use equipment and devices to assist patients
- Instructs, motivates, and assists patient to perform various physical activities and in use of assistant and supportive devices such as crutches, canes, and prostheses.
- Administers treatments involving application of physical agents.
- Evaluates effects of treatment at various stages and adjusts treatments to achieve maximum benefit.
- Administers manual techniques, exercises and modalities to relieve pain and improve or maintain function.
- Evaluates, fits, and adjusts prosthetic and orthotic devices and recommends modification to Orthotist.
Provides accurate and timely treatment documentation
- Records treatment, response, and progress in patient's chart or enters information into WebPT in a timely fashion.
- Confers with Physician and other practitioners in a timely and proper manner to obtain additional patient information, suggest revisions in treatment program, and integrate physical therapy treatment with other aspects of patient's health care.
Skills
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy
- Masters or Doctorate of Physical or Occupational Therapy preferred
- Minimum of three years’ clinical outpatient experience and two years’ clinical supervision or clinical program development experience preferred
- Able to troubleshoot, keen sense for decision making and judgment; action oriented; approachable
- Team player and effective at building and fostering teamwork as well as maintain composure when dealing with conflict
- Excellent customer service skills, interpersonal and communication skills
