EASA serves young people ages 15 to 25 who have had a first episode of psychosis within the last 12 months or who are experiencing early at-risk symptoms for psychosis, and their families. The goal of EASA is to identify individuals with a new psychosis as soon as possible to minimize the negative impact on their lives. This team is multidisciplinary, you will have the opportunity to work with an occupational therapist, mental health peer, registered nurse, psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, supported employment specialist, and more! We are person-centered, anti-oppressive oriented, program of people who love working with teens. We know that people who experience psychosis recover when they get support.
The Program Director (EASA) is responsible for managing the daily clinical and operational aspects of the program including management of program(s) contracts, service quality, staff deployment, integration with local community and public relations.
Pay/Benefits: $77,893 starting annual salary, plus Full benefits.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: (These responsibilities must be able to be performed with or without reasonable accommodation.)
- Monitors quality management compliance and performs day to day quality management tasks (e.g. chart audits, utilization management).
- Assists in developing and monitoring program budgets. May be required to participate in grant writing and fund raising activities.
- Implements direct service expectations for staff. Monitors employee productivity, documentation and insurance authorizations.
- Coordinates hiring process including orientation and training.
- May provide direct service. Provides crisis consultation for program area.
- Develops new programs in coordination with business and strategic plan. Implements new programs.
- Provides support and attention to employee successes and addresses performance issues promptly and effectively.
- Coordinates partner organization relationships within specific program.
- Monitors contract compliance for program areas. Implements contract statement of work.
- Provides training to community partners, agency staff and others.
- Meets with staff individually and as a group for regular supervision (meeting with staff a minimum of 2 times per month). Maintains accurate documentation of supervisory meetings within the electronic employee record.
- Meets standards for documentation and work accuracy as defined in the Performance Evaluation for self and supervisees including timely completion of progress notes, assessments, treatment plans and authorization requests.
- Meets standards as defined in the Performance Evaluation for direct service including accountability for supervisees, implements and ensures adherence of the clinical model and/or evidence-based practices and quality of clinical practice for self and supervisees.
- Meets expectations for being an effective supervisor and team member.
- Completes required program reports including those needed for supervisory responsibilities timely and accurately.
- Check e-mail/voicemail daily when working.
- Attends informational, clinical and management meetings which may include all-agency, team and consultation meetings, staffings, intra-agency trainings, etc. May represent LifeWorks NW at community meetings.
- Travel between sites and/or community locations to support staff and/or clients.
- Continually increase level of cultural sensitivity, awareness and competency.
- Participate in and promote a culture of feedback at the agency by eliciting feedback to promote professional growth and assess work effectiveness.
- Support staff's use of Feedback-Informed Treatment service delivery approach to obtain and review feedback from clients regarding the fit and effectiveness of the services provided to them.
REQUIREMENTS: (Equivalent education and/or experience may be substituted for qualifications. Requirements are representative of minimum levels of knowledge, skills and/or abilities. To perform this job successfully, the employee will possess the abilities or aptitudes to perform each task proficiently.)
- Program Directors in mental health programs providing clinical supervision must meet QMHP requirements and have completed two years of post-graduate clinical experience in a mental health treatment setting.
- Program Directors providing clinical supervision in addictions programs must have a CADC 2. If recovering from a substance abuse related disorder, must be able to demonstrate continuous sobriety under nonresidential, independent living conditions for the immediate past three years. Clinical Supervisors in addictions must also have one of the following: Five years of paid full-time experience in the field of substance use disorders counseling; or a BA and four years of paid full-time experience in the social services field with a minimum of two years of direct substance use disorders counseling experience; or a MA and three years of paid full-time experience in the social services field with a minimum of two years of direct substance use disorders counseling experience.
- Demonstrated experience (3 plus years) in a program area including two years of progressively responsible clinical and administrative experience.
- May require LPC or LCSW.
- Demonstrated knowledge of outreach, engagement, and/or treatment strategies for the program population.
- Must be able to demonstrate competence in leadership, wellness, oversight and evaluation of services, staff development, service planning, case management and coordination, utilization of community resources, group, family and individual therapy or counseling, documentation and rationale for service to promote intended outcomes and implementation of LWNW policies.
- Ability to network and promote program in the community as needed which may include public speaking.
- Good computer skills including a functional knowledge of Outlook, Word and Excel. Ability to master use of proprietary software including electronic health record system.
- Demonstrate effective communication skills and ability to provide culturally responsive treatment services to diverse client populations.
- May require access to car, valid driver's license, proof of current automobile insurance coverage and verification of safe driving record from DM, ability to meet LWNW driving requirements.
- Ability to perform essential functions of job without creating a direct threat to the safety of self or others.
Working Conditions
This position will require working in an office setting with a defined schedule during the work week.
