Job Description    
My research focuses on understanding linkages among psychosocial issues, diabetes self-care, and health outcomes. I employ mixed methods to examine the culture and context of diabetes care in Appalachian Ohio. I implement evidence-based interventions (e.g., patient navigation, community health workers, peer support) to address health disparities.

About the Position:
The primary purpose of the Research Program Manager position is full-time employment to monitor specific programmatic and research grants. The Research Program Manager will be responsible for assisting the Principal Investigator in presenting virtual reality trainings, conducting research, organizing and interpreting data, and disseminating findings at regional, national, and international organizations. Additionally, this position will supervise the work and ensure deliverables are met from of our collaborative partners currently located at Case Western Reserve University, MetroHealth System and the University of Toledo.

Primary Accountabilities:

Present virtual reality trainings to healthcare providers, health professional students, health organizations, community advocacy groups, school systems, and local health departments across the state of Ohio.

Plans and conducts original research projects within the research group that are within the framework of the PI’s research focus. Research will focus on virtual reality, social determinants of health, and health disparities. Works collaboratively with other local and external research staff, and students at the direction of the PI. Provides virtual reality expertise to use the technology and interpret the findings.

Prepares manuscripts for publication at the direction of the PI. Presents research findings at professional meetings.

Assists with reviews of grants and manuscripts and mentors medical, graduate and undergraduate students as appropriate.
Minimum Qualifications    
Masters Degree: MFA in Film, including production, directing, and/or cinematography.
3 years Work-related experience
1 year Management experience
