A DAY IN THE LIFE AS A DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL

As a Direct Support Professional, you support individuals with daily living skills including housekeeping, laundry, cooking, hygiene, and self-administration of medications. 

While supporting people with disabilities, you learn their individual differences in ability, personality, interests, learning, motivation, and likes and dislikes. You encourage community engagement by driving the individuals you support to appointments and leisure activities in addition to supporting them with finances and grocery shopping. 

You will love being able to make a direct impact on the life of each person you support by helping them realize their goals and introducing them to new opportunities.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Basic computer skills needed to complete documentation
• Current driver's license and acceptable driving record
• Ability to use equipment to lift people that cannot lift themselves
• Ability to lift and transfer individuals
• Ability to pass a drug test
• Valid driver's license

WORK SCHEDULE 

We have part-time and full-time positions available with shifts from 3 pm -11 pm or overnight 11p -7a/12a - 8a.

Overnight shifts include shift differential.
