Assistant Professor, NTT, Clinical, Emergency Medical Group
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
The purpose of this position is to provide faculty support to meet the patient care needs of the Department of Emergency Medicine and assist in fulfilling UTMB's threefold mission. The person in this position is responsible for providing direct patient care in the Emergency Department at various UTMB sites. He/she will participate in all teaching activities of the Department including conferences and lectures, bedside teaching and rounds, in-patient services, continuing medical education, and local, regional and national meetings. Students include medical students, house staff, nursing, allied health students as well as Resident teaching.
Additional administrative responsibilities include participating in committee memberships at the Departmental and Health System levels.
Candidates should be a graduate of an approved medical school, have completed an approved residency training and a fellowship program in Emergency Medicine, be Board Certified/Board Eligible in Pediatric Emergency Medicine and have a Texas Medical license without restrictions.
MD, DO in Medicine
Board certified in Pediatric Emergency Medicine
Commensurate with experience.
