Position: Practical Nursing Instructor

Brief Description of Position:  As a member of the team under the direction of the Nursing Department Head (Nursing Director), the instructor is responsible for planning, selection, organization, supervision, facilitation, and evaluation of the learning experiences of students in the practical nursing (PN) program.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Current unrestricted licensure as a registered nurse in the state of North Carolina.
  2. Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution and actively enrolled in a Master’s in Nursing degree program.
  3. Master’s Degree in Nursing Education from an accredited institution preferred.
  4. Minimum two years of full-time clinical experience as a registered nurse.
  5. Previous teaching experience preferred.
  6. Membership in one or more professional organizations.
  7. Must obtain Master’s degree within 5 years of employment.
  8. Must have education in teaching and learning principals in adult education as required by the NCBON (36.0318, #5) within the first 3 years of employment.

SalaryHiring Range – Minimum to Midpoint ($5,662 – 6,441 /monthly) 9-month contract
